We drove about an hour from Mount Gambier (in South Australia, where Katie was doing a 4-week medical elective) to Beachport. It was chilly!

B wanted to write something on the beach but the water was having none of it!

Brendan drew a big heart in the sand and made Katie stand in the middle of it, and that's where he asked her if she'd marry him. And she said yes! And this picture was taken right after that.

Then we took lots of pictures...

Rivoli Bay, where we got engaged (but we called it Ravioli Bay, of course!)

Beachport won a Medium Sized Town!

The beach was gorgeous

We wandered around the point...

And found this incredible scene!

The sun came out so Katie decided to check the water... (still chilly!)

Brendan is also brave
We support each other!

The cloud and rock formations were pretty incredible

like this overhang

and this rocky toadstool

On our way back, we met a professional photographer putting together an ad for Beachport, so we got him to take our picture

We drove back to Mount Gambier via a crazy wind farm...

Huge 110m windmills stretching up into the blue, blue sky above cows and sheep below

All spinning, spinning...

And then we were home again.
It was a pretty perfect day...

Further adventures to follow!
